Council of TGM WRI, p. r. i.

The council of the institution is an authority elected by the employees of the public research institution. From its members, the council elects Chairman of the council of the institution and Vice Chairman of the council of the institution, who represents the Chairman in his absence, and also can dismiss them.

It primarily gives heed to adherence to the purpose for which the public research institution was established, to application of public interest in its activities and to its proper management. It defines directions of activity of the public research institution in compliance with the deed of foundation, and decides on the conception of development of the institution.

The council of the institution:

• approves the budget, selected internal regulations and annual report,
• discusses proposals for amendments to the deed of foundation, proposals for research, development and innovation, and proposals for contracts on foreign cooperation or collaboration with the institutions of the Czech Republic to be negotiated,
• announces a tender on the basis of the result of which it gives the founder proposal for appointment of the successful tenderer as a director of public research institution, proposes his dismissal, eventually consents to this dismissal, and
• gives prior approval with or gives the founder proposal for fusion, merger or division of public research institution.

Supervisory Board of TGM WRI, p. r. i.

Members of the supervisory board, including its Chairman and Vice Chairman, who represents the Chairman in his absence, shall be appointed and dismissed by the founder so that the representatives especially of the founder and eventually the employees of the public research institution are adequately represented.

The supervisory board carries out supervision over activities, economy and property management of the public research institution, and furthermore it:

• gives the founder proposal for dismissal of the director,
• gives comments on the proposed amendments to the deed of foundation of the public research institution, on the proposal for fusion, merger or division of public research institution, on the draft of budget and the draft of annual report, and
• submits to the director, the council of the institution (Council of TGM WRI, p. r. i.) and the founder (Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic) proposals for remedy of identified deficiencies in the performance of their responsibilities.

Scientific Board of TGM WRI, p. r. i.

The Scientific Board of TGM WRI, p. r. i., is the advisory body of the director that prepares opinions on fundamental, professional, conceptual and organizational issues of the Institute. Members and Chairman of the Board are appointed and dismissed by the director.

Editorial Board of TGM WRI, p. r. i., is the advisory body of the director, which manages the publishing and editorial activities of TGM WRI, p. r. i. and pays attention to the quality of published outputs. Position of the Board, its tasks and own activities are determined by a separate internal regulation. Members and Chairman of the Board are appointed and dismissed by the director.

Position of the Board, its tasks and own activities are determined by a separate internal regulation. Members of the Borad from ranks of experts of TGM WRI, p. r. i., as well as from external eminent institutions are appointed and dismissed by the director.

It participates in the creation of the publishing policy of TGM WRI, p. r. i. Position of the Editors, their tasks and own activities are determined by a separate internal regulation. Members of the editorial staff from ranks of external experts from eminent research institutions are appointed and dismissed by the director.

Commissions Established by the Director

Commissions are established by the director as his advisory bodies as appropriate. He determines the composition of the Commission, its Chairman (and its Secretary if necessary), mission, scope, eventually the rules of procedure of the Commission. Record of the meeting shall be done during every meeting of the Commission. Proposals for decision stated in record of the meeting serve as a basis for decisions of the director, or for the panel or operative meetings of management of the Institute.
